About Lady and the Tramp | Dog Grooming, Dog Care & eBooks
Welcome to Lady and the Tramp.
My name is Nicole, and I am the founder of Lady and the Tramp. I have been working with dogs since 2016, combining professional dog grooming experience with a genuine passion for dog welfare, behaviour and responsible pet care.
Today, I provide professional dog care services in Liverpool, including dog walking, pet sitting and mobile small dog grooming services such as nail clipping and ear cleaning. I also create practical dog grooming eBooks and dog care guides for owners who want to learn more about caring for and grooming their dogs at home.
I am fully insured and DBS checked, and the wellbeing, comfort and safety of every dog in my care always come first.
My Experience in Dog Grooming & Dog Care
My journey into professional dog care began in 2016, when I started volunteering at a homeless animal shelter in Sopot, Poland. Working with rescue dogs gave me invaluable experience and helped me develop a deeper understanding of dogs with different personalities, backgrounds and individual needs. In particular, working with dogs that had experienced trauma taught me the importance of patience, trust and adapting my approach to each individual dog.
In early 2017, I completed my first professional dog grooming course in Gdańsk, Poland. I still remember completing my first full groom on a miniature poodle named Pepa. The sense of accomplishment stayed with me, and it was the moment I realised I had found something I genuinely enjoyed. It also made me realise how much there was still to learn.
Since then, I have continued to develop my professional knowledge and practical grooming skills through a variety of dog grooming courses, classes and training. I have had the opportunity to learn from highly accomplished groomers, including a Polish grooming champion and other talented professionals who have achieved success in international grooming competitions. These experiences helped shape the way I work with dogs today: patiently, professionally and always with their welfare as the priority.
From Poland to Building My Dog Care Business in the UK
Originally from Poland, I established my first dog care business there before relocating to Swansea, UK, in 2019. My business quickly became established through recommendations and word of mouth. Building that trust with dog owners was extremely important to me and reinforced my belief that excellent animal care and professional customer service should always go hand in hand.
My journey has since brought me to Liverpool, where I now offer a range of professional dog care services while continuing to share my grooming knowledge with dog owners through my online dog grooming eBooks and guides. Over the years, Lady and the Tramp has evolved from a traditional dog grooming business into a broader dog care and education organisation.
